Vizio LED TV Repair Model E50-C1
« on: April 30, 2020, 12:03:41 am »
I have a Vizio model E50-C1 LED TV that has backlight, has NO sound, has a Black Screen and the Standby light on the front works propertly.  My research online led me to believe that that either the Main board or the T-Con board was bad.  I went to Shop Jimmy and ordered all three boards, Power, Main & T-con as that seemed to be the best deal.  I first replaced the main board with no success.  Next I replaced the T-Con board next with no success.  Then because I already had the board, I replaced the Power Board.  NO SUCCESS!  The TV has two additional very small PC boards that were not mentioned anywhere I researched and were not offered as a repair part on Shop Jimmy.  I have attached a pic of these two small boards.  I am wondering if one of these could be the problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I've got 60 dollars invested so far so I don't want to trash the TV.

That looks like WiFi board and some adapter for it. You may try to disconnect both of them, see what happens. I think that they are not even necessary for TV to start (but who knows). You have a strange situation.
