VW T5 windshield wiper problem

I am trying to diagnose a potentially failed relay mounted on a control module on my van. There are several known issues that can make the wipers fail one being this relay failing and even after a diagnostic vehicle scan it doesn’t point to the exact problem. My question . is there a way to test the relay while it is still on the board ?
