Wanted - Datron 4xxx Power Input Module and Binding Post
« on: April 25, 2019, 06:24:38 pm »
Hi,

So I bought a 4200 really for spares, but with a bit of love and some new tantalums it's now a completely functional unit other than missing a couple of key items, namely:

1. The mains input connector and filter, which is broken, it's a Potter 7100-0002
2. The brown (I+) binding post

Do any of my fellow Datron fans happen to have either of these items available for sale?

Simply search for "Corcom 6J4" on ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Corcom-6J4-F7007-Power-Entry-Module-lot-of-10-NOS/173039348521
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Corcom-6J4-F1881-Power-Entry-Module-lot-of-10-NOS/173039343667

It has the same patent number printed on it so they seem to be the exact replacement.

Computers exist to solve problems that we wouldn't have without them. AI exists to answer questions, we wouldn't ask without it.

Those look pretty good. For binding posts I'd just find whatever you like that has enough colors, or just buy some of same color and pay attention which you'd no doubt be doing anyway.

branadic you are a star -- thanks, that's given me a useful pointer and I've found a few UK ones as well.
