Washing OLED Screens in IPA?

I am fixing up this SMOK e-cig/vaporizer that's been sat in vape juice to the point the buttons don't operate properly, the whole thing is covered in the stuff, i was going to wash it all in IPA with the screen removed but it's heat-staked to the PCB

are OLED screens safe to immerse in IPA?

I'd say that none such display technology shall be immersed in solvents.

I would try to seal it off in a zip lock bag and block the remaining hole(s)    the IPA will try to penetrate the display layers, and may take a long (or very long) time to dry, it may leave some residues in the said layers by displacing dust, contaminants  etc ...

after posting i realised the heat stakes weren't really doing much and was easy to pop the screen off but the flat flex connection was glued/hot-bar attached to the pcb, but it did allow me to move the screen out of the way enough to wash down the pcb

it's back together and seems to be working properly now 

they are fiddly buggers to take apart and get back together with three connections that require soldering during the process, with springs and fiddly parts, given the cost of these it's almost not worth repairing them FYI
