Wavetek 9100 blown power supply

Good afternoon, we have a Wavetek 9100 unit that during the test, when it is turned on, damages some fuses of the source (F501, F502, F503, F504).
These fuses blow near the end of the test and the screen goes blank.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Do you have an idea of what the self test is supposed to do, specifically the point where it fails? That may lend some clues to where the problem is. My first though is that the device is attempting to test a part of itself that has failed, overloading the power supply.

Do you have the manuals? If not there is tech info online for service notes. We have two 9100E’s at work, never had hardware fault.
One unit working, but second one out of spec on certain modes, so will list unit for sale. Fluke no longer support these units.

Don't Fluke offer adjustment for the Wavetek 9100? I know they even refuse to calibrate some former Wavetek units without adjustment, which is strange since all they need to do is measure a bunch of values. Maybe some third party cal labs can do it? Or is it so far out of spec that it would require repair?

The 9100E is a software calibrated unit. Ours have to get calibrated by a NATA Lab as required for certification of NATA Traceable Reports.
Too much work on to take time & try and investigate. Fluke USA, UK, EU, all say same thing re support for this unit.
Have replaced this unit with a Transmile Multifunctin Calibrator.

Hello all. I have a Fluke/Wavetek 9100A with a high current issue at the fan power connection. On the schematic, sheet 5 of 8, I replaced U502/503, R527 and C512 in the fan power circuit. I still have a very high current condition at the fan outputs at E508/E509. Does anyone have an idea as to what else to look at here? My calibrator is down and is needed. Thank you, Lou.

if you remove the fan  are the 15volt lines ok ??

or the fan is getting stuck in the bushing / sleeve,  simply change the fan ?

IF, I connect the fan, it will burn out. I'm not sure where the condition is coming from. I suspect the rectifier so, I'm going to replace that as well. I just don't see where else this could be coming from. BTW, the original fan died, it is very (crunchy) when you spin it by hand. I suspect the fan failed and pulled high current and caused a failure farther down the circuit. I'm not sure.
