Repair HP Envy touchsmart motherboard

Hi guys,

I'm trying to repair and HP Envy 15 motherboard (ref 720566-501) , I found this part in short circuit (red circled part on the pic).

It sits just near the battery connector.

Now the question is, what is it ? a voltage regulator? Is there any cross reference?

2nd schematic is OK for my motherboard.

The Q6010 ref is AON6414AL and it has almost the same characteristics as the FDMS8888, so I can try on either.

before you swap it check for other shorts, for example after removing it  is something shorted to ground around it?

that's what i'll do, I'm just waiting for a heat gun to desolder it

I just replaced the Q6010 but unfortunately it got shorted again.

those mosfets usually dont die on its own, they die because something other was bad and pulled excessive current frying them

Not as it should be but I do grounding my body from time to time just by touching house outlet ground

I didn't not forget what you've already said, but at that time I didn't find any other problem.
Now, I gave it a new check up and I found the pins 1,2 of U6000 grounded so I think that U6000 is dead coz like this PVBAT is grounded too.

I pulled out U6000 but PVBAT still grounded, so it could be any other part.
Do you think that ceramic capacitors could be suspected? Or could you tell which kind of part I have to check up (desolder) first?

yes, caps are prone to dying by shorting, 6029 6030 look like good start
did you remove r6000 to check which side is shorted?

Ok i'm gonna give it a try.

What about the powerpads? are them just some solder connectors? can I desolder/resolder them? Because this will help me to disconnect each bloc from PVBAT
