Hi there,

I've just got a HP 6826A that needs repair. The first thing to check is that the line selection voltage is set. I believe mine is missing the switch. Below the fuse is a bit of circuit board with some pads on it - no switch.

Could someone take a picture of the rear of theirs so I can see what it's supposed to look like to confirm mine's missing one please?

Thanks

Can you post a picture of the pieces that you have? I believe some power supplies around that time used a piece of circuit board that you could pull out using a lever and rotate to change the voltage setting, and then re-insert. But there might well be different models.

So it's got this cool little circuit board you pull out and rotate. I'll post a pic later! It took me a while to figure that out!

There will be numbers etched on the circuit board for the mains voltage selection. Orientate the circuit board so that your desired mains voltage setting is visible on the back of the circuit board when re-inserting it.

Yeah I got there in the end - I will post pictures because it took me ages. Schematic and then thinking "where's this switch?!" the manual literally says "and by default the switch is in the (up-arrow icon) position" and then moves on. Nothing about this little card you pull out.
