Where to buy high quality components

Hi.

I’m about to recap my Yaesu FRG-7 and want high quality electrolytics, ie 105 deg C, 4000 hr plus. Mouser sell them, but is there anywhere I can buy such a small order such as these? 15 electrolytics at most.

I don't know their policy in Oz, in France Radiospares will sell in small quantities and ship for free if an order is placed during a weekend on the "hobbyist" version of the website.
Searching the hobby site is a nightmare so it's convenient to do a first search on their professional site then copy the reference numbers over.

Maybe it is because you are located in Australia, but Mouser will sell most of their components in small quantities.

UK expat based here in Singapore... so not too far away from you in Oz.

I've had no trouble obtaining small quantities from Mouser for all my projects over the years. In fact, I took delivery just this week of a small quantity for restoration of my Tektronix scope.

The only thing you "may" need to be aware of is their shipping cost threshold. Above a certain (total) order cost threshold, shipping is free... below that threshold, you have to pay shipping etc.

Ordering via Mouser Singapore, the components are still shipped from the US.

I think Digikey, RS, and Element 14 all do the same, as all four are competing against each other for one's business !
