I'm looking for a replacement encoder but can't find the right part number.
Does anyone know which type this is:

As they are 'only' behave like two switches that opens close in a specific manner you probably don't need the exact part. As the decoder obviously was connected via wires helps a lot. That means only the the number of detents, the axis type/length and the mounting option is important.

. They are all intended for PCB mounting, but some have a thread as well.

Purely guessing on the dimensions here, this one looks like a matching candidate:

But you should go through the specifications if that one will do for you. For example the original part has a pin to prevent rotation of the encoder itself. The Alps does not have that, but a flatted thread. So you might need a special washer that holds into the flattened thread and provide the pin that goes into the front panel.
