Looks a bit like a diode, but what component is this?
« on: October 07, 2023, 10:57:28 pm »
I'm trying to repair my Bosch drill and have opened the switch unit.  Can anyone tell me what kind of component this is (the orange one in the top)?
Using my DMM in ohm mode it measures open circuit. Also, diode mode does not yield anything.

A thermistor would measure some resistance wouldn't it....
A diac seems very likely yes. thanks
