Hi colorburst, i know i can install a fresh winXP but my plan is to take the image from the 7000B (winXP OEM). and transfer that to the 5000B. only drivers needs to be swapped are indead the frontpanel and tektronix (pci) and th NI driver. MB is equal...then it s a nice to have install ....

Charly, that can work, the challenge is to make sure the 7000B stuff is completely deleted. The 5000 software is fragile and may be affected otherwise.

I've had good experience with stock XP (pun intended) and never had a reason to try a 7000B image. Let us know how it goes.
