Are there really no capacitors available locally in Australia? :-//

I believe there are plenty of capacitors anywhere in Australia. But here, the beautiful and other-worldly Middle Earth, there might be just I don't know. There is a local electronics parts store however the brand I've never heard of (MaxCap or something). I've replaced the "stupid" capacitor with a salvaged, but good-looking one of identical specs for now.

So:
1. You are so lucky that pull off bad cap again. If that's so, you definitely need to buy a jackpot ticket.
2. The problem is elsewhere...

Value is not important, 10, 22, 33 or 50uF Low ESR will work. It's a IC VCC rail bulk storage cap, nothing more.
