Yaesu FRG-100 Clock Too Slow

I've heard that there's a fix for the above radio with a slow clock, wondering if anyone knows what the solution is?  Mine runs several minutes behind every month.  Rumor is about using a variable cap instead of the original fixed  one.  Thank you.
