Yamaha A-S500 Power problem
« on: December 17, 2023, 09:57:55 pm »
Hi. I have a Yamaha A-s500 amp with a powering problem. When I turn it on a CD Input and Pure direct lights come on for a second and then go off and power led flashes constantly. Anyone familiar with such problem? Thanks

Something is overloading and protection is activated.
You must start measuring.

The amplifier has a self diagnostic function where the flashing of the power LED tells you what the problem (power supply, abnormal current or voltage in the power amp, high temperature etc.). The service manual has all the
 necessary details.
