Acer Monitor 1716F Power Supply

Hi.

Thought I would share this one as I have never seen anything like this before. My office monitor would not switch on the other morning so though I would have a quick look.

Never seen an IC exploded like this before. Oh dear.
I have found replacement ICs on eBay. They are an Alpha and Omega AOP605. The exploded one had a direct short on pin 3 and 4!!

Anyway I have ordered replacements for the bulging capacitors. They are Suscon brand??? I am replacing all of them just to be safe.

Can anyone find the schematic for this board??
I cannot find the datasheet for my revision monitor 1716Fs

I cannot see any other faults or find any other shorts. Any advise on what else to check?

i would change the blown circuit
and the two bulky caps you can see on the picture
and test the esr of the other chemical caps.

I'm not sure where you could find an AOP605 other than eBay.  I haven't had luck obtaining A&O from Digikey or Mouser.

That link says 2 results.  The first says min $100 order,  the other to ask for a quote.  Probably need to order a spool of 2500.

No it appears they used several different power supplies. I have already looked at those and they don't match unfortunately. Mine is the 'F' model - AL1716F
