Yihua 858d hot-air - intermittent temp-sense issue?
« on: September 17, 2023, 04:18:31 am »
My 858d hot-air station has performed flawlessly for years.
But it just developed a fault where the display starts showing wrong values and temperature regulation is lost.

So the display will show 129 or 730 instead reaching and showing the set voltage of 350C.
And the fan won't stop, after the hand-piece is cradled, because it doesn't sense when the hand-piece has cooled down.

When the cable is twisted/ turned, then the issue will often fix itself and it works for a bit.
But then the cable is twisted/manipulated again through use, and it fails.

Has anyone seen this particular issue before - and know if its a bad-connection issue somewhere -
It is difficult to pin-point whether it's the hand-piece, cable, or station connector that's at fault.

Yes my yihua station almost burned into flames some years ago for no reason.
was working fine , but decided it was time to change for a quick 861 ... don't regret it.
