YIHUA 992DA+ REPAIR - NOT WORK
« on: April 08, 2022, 02:33:34 pm »

Hi everyone I have a problem since yesterday with my 992DA +. Suddenly the hot air no longer started, it remains set at 200 ° or at any temperature, I disassembled the gun because I realized that the problem was right there in fact I found the wire that works with the magnet damaged. I fixed all the wires because they were very worn.
The only problem is that I cannot understand the functioning of the magnet sensor to start the station. I am attaching the photos, if anyone can make me understand how to connect the two parts otherwise the station will not start and does not heat up.
Forgive my English but I'm Italian1458226-0

Hi!

Your picture isn't too clear but your gun needs a replacement magnetic "dry reed switch" – it looks like the original has got broken for some reason!

The magnets are made of a material that is only magnetic up to a certain temperature, so the gun will heat until a certain temperature is reached, at which time the magnets become "non–magnetic" and the switch opens, sending a "turn off" signal to
the controller unit!

Therefore you need to get something like this:–

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dry-Reed-Switch-RI-70-1-8x7mm-Magnetic-Switch-Normally-Open-Contact-Switch-/323781810533?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

. . .soldered to the yellow and orange connections where the old broken switch was connected!

Alternatively, you can get a compatible complete replacement desoldering gun here:–

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220v-Tool-Hot-Air-Desoldering-Gun-for-KADA-850-852D-Rework-Station-/313802950112?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

. . .Ensure you order the correct voltage for your local supply – I think Italy will be 220/230 V!

The tube between the gun and the control unit is designed to carry both the air from the control unit pump and the electrical leads to the control unit – the leads are threaded through the hot–air port and then connected to the appropriate. terminals in the control unit itself!

It's an enigma that's what it is!! This thing's not fixed because it doesn't want to be fixed!!
