| Yokogawa DL1540CL scope needs calibration (corrected scope model number) |

Hello, I have two DL1640CL DL1540CL Yokogawa scopes that operate BUT the battery has died in both of them. I have replaced the battery in one of them so-far...and it seems happy. BUT, it is in serious need of calibration. Does anyone know how to calibrate one of these? (I have contacted a couple of companies that calibrate Yokogawa scopes....but the ones that responded have said they dont do this ,model) Cheers Stuart |

Hello, I fixed one but not required to recalibrate. See this doc, in principle there is a possibility of self-calibration. Good luck cdt |

Thanks for the manual. I had a look and found that I had posted the incorrect Scope model number (have since corrected it). I did have a look and that menu option on my scope but that Cal function appears to be a "fine tuning" calibration function. My issue is all my Cal and setup data is missing completely, which means the input gain is way off.. e.g. the square wave Cal signal barely shows on the display when I have the input sensitivity set to 10mv/div. Are you sure this is a cal problem and not a faulty front-end? Are all 4 channels like this? Does it pass self test? |
| sambuddy200471:
well, thankyou for asking that @aeg . That question made me do some more investigation and this is what i found 1: I ran all the tests and they passed, so i looked closer (like i should have done earlier) 2: I was getting no square wave cal signal on the front panel because the front panel was dislodged abit. (now fixed) :palm: 3: My voltage readings we still off. Someone had plugged in the incorrect probe for the scope (now fixed) :palm: My scope is now working as it used too Thanks :) |
