« on: November 27, 2024, 04:31:15 pm »
Hello, I recently acquired a Yokogawa DL1740E scope. The LCD is realy dim. Does it need to be replaced or  could there be something else wrong with it. If it inded does need to be replaced does anybody
know what kind of LCD I should buy?

Thanks

I would check the backlight first. It may be possible to replace just the CCFL tube with a new one. I've done the same in a few Tektronix TDS220 scopes.

It may even be possible to replace the CCFL with LED's, there are a few of us that have done it on various scopes here on the forum (The Tektronix THS720 scopes for one example).
Where does all this test equipment keep coming from?!?
