ZD8915 De-soldering Station - Temperature Sensor Help
« on: November 06, 2021, 11:01:40 am »
I'm in the process of reverse engineering my new ZD8915 de-soldering station.

Why?  because I can but also because it has an issue with incorrect temperature.  When set to 220 degC it indicates 220 but actually measures 260 degC.

What I'm specifically interested in is the resistance of the temperature sensor (I'm assuming the sensor is some form of PTC resistor and not a thermocouple).  But if any one knows otherwise then please feel let me know.

I would appreciate several persons who have one of these machines, or similar (and the inclination) could measure the resistance between pins 1 and 2 of the connector together with the nozzle temperature.  A few machines should suffice.  My machine is shown below.

Model:    Resistance (Ohms):    Nozzle Temperature (degC):
ZD8915    47                                    21

Many thanks
Greg
