Hi All,
I'm a hobbyist that tinkers with electronics, wood, metal, cars, microcontrollers, and any other sort of item. My old soldering iron finally had too many melted spots in the cord that I got poked from, so I decided to order a 939D+. I like the station, but the cord for the iron is so short, it makes it awkward working on my bench. I was thinking of making up an extension cordset, but I'm at a loss finding the connectors. I was stumbling around Digikey and have not found what looks like the connector yet. Does anyone know what the connector is? Is there any reason I should NOT do this?

Looking at photos online it seems to be standard GX16 or maybe GX12 5 pin.
Easily available from aliexpress.
You'll have to measure the connector to see what diameter it is.

Thanks for the assistance. Those sure look correct. I'll have to measure these when I get home and see what it is.

Based on measurement, its the GX16. One on the way. Now to find some decent wire for the extension...
Thanks again.
