Any opinions on the AiXun T3A?

Yeah, the JBC connector finally arrived, so I got to work finishing the station. The first dual-handle T3B station is ready to go!

I am not sure if other people have experienced this issue ... recently I was trying to update the firmware (mine is still 1.24 from long time ago) from a Win 11 desktop. The VCP driver kept complaining about I/O configuration issue. My first response was that the serial conversion chip inside was damaged.

Later I read an article about FTDI is blocking fake FTDI chip from using the driver, and T3A happens to use a fake FTDI chip. So I went to FTDI website and pulled an old driver from 2017 (CDM v2.12.28 WHQL Certified) and forced the system to take the old driver (Win 11 seems already ship with the latest FTDI driver). After the driver update the hardware issue was gone and I was able to update the firmware to 1.36.

The issue didn't hit me while using Win10.
The topic about FTDI VCP driver is quite well known and got a little better than in the past ... some earlier versions of the driver was changing USB VID/PID putting many people in difficult situation.
