I regularly use beaded thermocouples at work, the bare bead is fine except that I run through a lot of electrical tape attaching them for the few minutes I need to take readings. The Fluke clamp is nice, but expensive and won't fit most of the pipes I need to take readings of. I like the velcro strap version, but I'm not spending $140+ for a pair of them when I could buy 100 bead thermocouples and 10 miles of electrical tape for that price.
I have been searching for the brass ferrule, for lack of a better description, that these velcro thermocouples use to attach the beaded thermocouple to the velcro strap but can't seem to find anything. My question is, does anyone have any idea what this piece is called, where to source them, or any other information? Thanks in advance.
