Hi can anyone identify this please. I need to identify what it is and source. Looks like some sort of electrical plug

It is a control loop inertial weight from a standard p-238 space phase modulator which we all know is a direct copy of the O-deltoid amlilite baseplate housing contained in the ubiquitous cardinal grameter phase detractor.

That in the pic looks mostly like a microswitch, but I'm not sure.

Can also be a springy connector, might be a microphone, too.  Not clear enough from the pic.

Just to be more clear. I need to find out how it made its way in to a machine and I must find out where is from as a matter of urgency however it is not something I have seen before on site before but as it is a contamination risk I must find its source within the factory

It looks like some kind of plug-in lamp. Squinting a bit, I think it's a small filament one.

From the shape, it could be panel illumination for a circular dial (or maybe some kind of optical shaft encoder)? It looks quite old.
