Charge current drawn by Pager in Charger cradle
« on: February 19, 2021, 09:40:40 am »
Hi
We have a Birdy WPS r3 pager which sits in a Birdy WP fast charger cradle. We are feeding the Birdy WP fast charger cradle 5V. Do you know what charge current it is spec'd to draw?. We are measuring it and its variable. We are trying to find the max charging current it could pull from 5V.

Its made by TPL systems but their website doesnt say.
https://tplsystemes.com/

The charger cradle PCB has on it a chip called “LS2533”. This is SOIC8.
I cant find the datasheet for it (only a  datasheet for a SOT8 which says its an NiMH charger, which sounds right but ours is SOIC8)

Let it run flat then pop it onto the charger.  Give it a few mins then also trigger the pager.  I'd have thought that would give the max draw?

Or put a max hold meter on it and just see what the max is over a period of time.
