Cool new LCD tech from Sharp

Just got some of these really cool Memory LCDs from Sharp
Insanely low power cosumption and amazing contrast.
A bit like E-Ink but available, and faster

Youtube channel:Taking wierd stuff apart. Very apart.
Mike's Electric Stuff: High voltage, vintage electronics etc.
Day Job: Mostly LEDs

Try putting LS013B4DN01 into the FindChips window.

interesting LCD design,  screen updating speed, and operating temperature limits,
needs some extra exploration.

Would you be able to say how viewing compares in sunlight?
They are very visible in all lighting condas & when I see some sunlight it would be interesting to see if the silver one would actually reflect an image of the display onto a surface...

The small one I'm looking at using is marked as transflective, so I'm assuming it can be backlit?
