Good thermal adhesive
« on: September 15, 2019, 01:23:48 pm »
Hi all,

anyone knows a good thermal adhesive?

There are good thermal pastes available, with thermal conductivity of 10 Wm/K and even more (for example Arctic or ThermalGrizzly). However, thermal adhesives I have found all have a very low conductivity (not much more than 1 Wm/K, but mostly less than that, for example "AG Thermoglue").

annoying thermal epoxies with high viscosity exist, at around 4Wm/K, but they are usually quote orders

Also, there are diamond laced adhesives which have better Wm/k, but they are EXPENSIVE

what 2n3055 linked is pretty much a 'apex' conductivity number you get with thermal glue @ non ludicrous cost (keep in mind his is a 1 part epoxy)

Exactly. But make note it IS ELECTRICALLY conductive too. That is the price to get good thermal capacity. It is loaded with silver, and quite richly.

no you can get 4+ non electrical conductive some where, just an annoying quote robbery job
