Title: hackrf h4m uses
Post by: nazmiravnic on January 05, 2025, 10:54:27 am
Hi everyone, I just got hold of my HackRF H4M from here https://www.sdrstore.eu/software-defined-radio/instruments/hackrf/new-generation-hackrf-portapack-h4m-mayhem-signature-edition-r10-sdr-radio-max2837-with-mayhem-firmware-flashed, (https://www.sdrstore.eu/software-defined-radio/instruments/hackrf/new-generation-hackrf-portapack-h4m-mayhem-signature-edition-r10-sdr-radio-max2837-with-mayhem-firmware-flashed,) and i was wondering are there any known issues with it? I saw some people have problems with the battery and wanted to know if that happens to all or just some with issues. Also what are some other things I could do with it besides listen to radio? :-+

Hi,

The HackRF-mayhem- consumption current is about ~500mA, so the battery discharges quickly.
I recommend purchasing a Power Bank.
The weak point is the LNA U13, U25 MGA-81563 (you can buy it on Ali...), and the failure is not only due to the impact of "static", but also when connecting +5V power adapters.

The product is interesting and, I assure you, you will be busy for a long time.
Watch the lessons on YT.

Thank you so much for the reply! I've now been using it nonstop for some hours. :-/O  I will definitely be looking into getting a power bank and going outside with it. It seems fascinating to me how many things it can do. It will definitely keep me busy for a while  ;D
