MX 210V 8x16 Lathe dc motor board gone..help
« on: December 07, 2019, 11:41:37 pm »
Hi,
Thanks to a stupid short in rpm lcd panel ( i was tweaking with power on!!!) I've fried my brand new mini lathe control board and i need a replacement..
It is a Chinese MX 210V with a 750w 180v dc pwm motor. .
The problem is that original board replacement  is hardly avaiable , is a "chopper type " with full rectifier and igbt. .(very poor filtering and horrible whining at 2500hz)
I tried to repair a blown smd regulator but once all voltage were ok nothing happens. .still no switching..
All the business is controlled by a  mcu! So no spare parts existing..
I think there coud be better options in the market to drive this motor  ( i'd like to keep it..) .
I need a suggestion on some models with better torque at mid low rpms and less whining noise )
What can i do?
Thanks  :D

I have the same problem finding a board that I can trust.  The Chinese boards on Amazon have blocked reviews and feedback.  So, there is no info from others about if or how well these work.  Let me know if you learn anything helpful.  Thanks
