Nothing at the Fan_PWM. Some Eastsoft MCU, thats one of the 3ct ones?
Can't read the exact type.
I really did expect more info, this device is not that new?!

Get it clearly identified (there are markings somewhere, like around that bar code. Find a data sheet, get the protocol (likely old-fashion serial or maybe I2C) and then the supporting cast will make more sense. That's what I think anyways.

All that for $12? that is incredible.
Its hard to just find a laser PM sensor alone for $12.
But yeah if you can get the serial data output (most of these use normal serial protocol), then it would be much more useful, get it displayed on a small LCD. You can scope whatever the onboard micro is doing if a request packet is needed.

A 5V device and straight no-frills serial except that TX and PWM are shared. I would need to read for a while to understand that completely - I guess you just abandon the PWM for the short amount of time that it takes to send a read request and then go back to whatever duty cycle you are using?. Are you certain that yours has a fan that you can see or hear?

They call it laser but it looks like a typical cheap crappy LED based sensor. and I don't think it will differentiate particle size.
The dust sensor module DSM501A is low cost, compact size for a particle density sensor. It is used to quantitative particle (> 1 micron) measurement with the principle of particle counter,
