I still use a HP Laserjet 4L that my folks bought in 1992. It's of drinking age now.
With a USB>Centronics dongle it installs with no effort on any modern PC.
4 PPM should be enough for anybody...

I just bought one of these from a thrift store. Had the cables which would have been easy to get anyway.

Don't know what the page count is, but it works. Is in great shape too.

Couldn't pass it up for 5 bucks.

The 4l Series was the first one with the higher resolution and they also worked well.
Another one to look for is the 4050 or the 4050N with the network-card pre-installed
You can get them cheap and they are reliable.

And one more big benefit, with these older printers, they DO NOT print hidden steganographic patterns
that allow the identification of the printers serial number from a single printed sheet of paper.

There are 3 kinds of people in this world, those who can count and those who can not.
