Kindle Touch audio hissing - all the time
(1/1)
madworm:
It seems that even after turning off the mp3-player or text-to-speach the audio-chip isn't turned off completely. There is a constant hiss coming out of the speakers. Not too loud, but it runs the batteries down much quicker than it should. I did a bit of testing and sometimes (rarely) the hissing goes away when turning the mp3-player off. And after a device-restart it is also silent.
Anybody with a Kindle Touch out there who could verify this?
Rerouter:
i have one and can confirm the speakers are normally dead silent,

Likely a software/firmware issue that it's not turned off, but I'm a little surprised to hear that it hisses - even the cheapest Chinese MP3 players these days don't hiss when on, unless set at close to maximum volume.
