I ordered 3 MSP-EXP430G2 kits from the TI website on August 24th. On August 25th I got an email saying they were backordered. The "order status" on their website also said backordered. On September 9, the order status changed to 'shipped', but there was no tracking number and the quantity backordered still showed 3. Today, September 15, the order status still says 'shipped' -AND- 3 units backordered. And as of today, no Fed-Ex truck has shown up. Oh, and yes, they dinged my credit card back on August 24th. If you are looking to get any of these, go to a distributor, NOT to TI directly. By the way, if you plug "MSP-EXP430G2" into FindChips.com, it shows them in stock at Newark and Farnell. |

Rumor is some people who ordered in June are still waiting for a shipment from TI, others somehow got preferred treatment. |

Their website says that they are shipping every two weeks as they get stock. Maybe talking smack on a public forum will expedite thing. :) HEY TI, IT'S ORDER #588927 (and no, I'm not holding my breath) ;D |
