New 2012 RS Catalogue
« on: April 04, 2012, 01:19:05 am »
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had a closer look at the new 2012 RS Catalogue. It seems to me that they have gone back to the stone age with the way they have done the Semiconductor Section from section 24 to section 30. No more table showing basic component specs just a list of part number with RS order number and price!
What a joke! Say you want to look for a replacement part for a 600V IGBT Do you have to pick one by luck and then check the datasheet?
The catalogue from the previous year had most of the information needed to pick the right component, or at least have a list of 3 possible replacements and then check the datasheet. I guess whoever came up with that "improvement" has nothing to do with Electronics!

Now I know you have the website, but I always found that it was quicker to look in the catalogue first, to narrow down the possible component replacements.
