Pro'sKit breadboards
« on: January 15, 2024, 11:21:41 pm »
I own quite a bit of various precision tools from Pro'sKit, a Taiwanese company - mainly pliers, cutters, screwdrivers etc. Most of their tools are of very good quality. Some are great. There are online reports of not so good ones, why not? - It happens.

Have any of you owned and used Pro'sKit breadboards? Are they anything like Wisher quality?
I can't find breadboards on their official site but in the Amazon description and in some other online retailers specs it's stated that the materials are: ABS/Phosphor Bronze
If they are anything like Wisher quality I'd get a few boards to try them out.

For reference (they are unavailable now on Amazon):

I searched online and found a large Pro'sKit official catalog where on page 193 (per pdf footnote numbering) you can see all 3 Pro'sKit breadboards that they sell.
The catalog ads confirm that the contacts are phosphor bronze.

Many years ago I got one quite similar to those blue plates. It looks as if coming from the same maker. Since then, I never got anything that kind of quality until I got a couple of Wisher's. I got another couple of good ones, not Wisher, but can't remember the brand and I'm far from home right now.

I like Proskit. If you finally get one of these, please report

Thanks much for your reply!
Something tells me but it could simply be my own fantasy that those Pro'sKit boards can come from Wisher.
To comfirm that I would have to buy the one from Pro'sKit and open it up to compare it to Wisher's internals. I think I'll get couple boards from Pro'sKit. I still hesitate at the moment. I need some courage :-)
