I ordered one of these units from a different source ( paid $70 ) and am very happy with it.

The only real complaint I have is that the soldering iron doesn't really fit very well into the holder. Meaning that
the part on the iron that's supposed to fit into the holder doesn't really fit - it's a little too large, and therefor kind
of flops around a little and isn't held firmly.

I don't really care for the default tip that comes with these units ( conical ), but you can get replacement tips
from Hakko-us for about 6 bucks each.

I think that 40 bucks is a great deal!

Express Shipping will probably add another $20-30 to the price.

Looks pretty nice for a "Crystal Clock Oscillator"  :P

I got a pickit2 clone off these guys on eBay. It took forever to ship and the case doesn't quite fit together properly but it works fine and was less than £10!

The site is fine - I have bought components off them, with the usual slow shipping from HK.

The station looks similar to the Yihua 898BD+ I have just bought with some small differences. The Yihua has a genuine Hakko heating element which I think would be hard to fit into a $40 price point, but who knows?

Sorry, typo corrected.

Are you sure that is the reason for the failure? They look adequately sized to me.

Has anybody got this station? I might want to buy this since it is so cheap. What is it like?
