Today I got one of these nice little synthesizers. The packagage was interesting, the knobs for the two pots were sticking through the package:

And I expected all the ICs and other components on the back, but surprise!

So where are the part? Inside the PCB? Side view:

Not much in there as you would expect. A little ARM microcontroller and a 24 bit audio codec. I guess it is all the same for the different models (they have lots of models) and just different firmware and silk screen for the keys.

All parts are under the display. Couldn't desolder it, so I snipped the pins, I can fix it with pinheaders later:

Compared to the PO-14/16 from http://hackingthepo.weebly.com (http://hackingthepo.weebly.com) (not my website) looks like the only difference is that it uses a LG890F256G instead of a EFM32LG890F128G. Same part, but 256 kB flash instead of 128 kB.
