Source for used lab items like a magnifying lamp?

I'm in the market for a magnifying lamp with a long reach and a glass or hardened lens that will stay where I put it for as long as I want it to remain there.

I've used many varieties over the last few decades, but have never found one that works worth a damn. I bought a neatfi unit a few months ago which does stay in place, but I've already managed to scratch its soft acrylic lens.

Of course my problem was that I never had the money to invest in a quality instrument. That limitation persists, and I doubt I will find something new that I would be willing to invest in, although I've looked in the usual places.

It seems there must be at least one company who buys used equipment as labs and companies come and go.

Would some kind soul point me to such a company? Extra Karma if I find what I'm looking for!
