Good electronics calculator/reference apps for Android?
« on: September 15, 2017, 02:14:48 pm »
Can anybody recommend any good cheap/free electronics calculator/reference apps for Android?

I have been using one called ElectroDroid for a while, but although it has a wealth of features, it's not the most satisfactory of apps to use. It has a few annoying quirks I could do without, and it's generally a bit slow and janky (especially when entering values in input fields; it sometimes takes a few seconds just to show the damn keyboard), which is frustrating when you just want to make a quick calculation. I think the app is one of those that is just a wrapper for the system default web browser displaying HTML & Javascript, not native code.

There seems to be hundreds of apps in this genre on the Google Play store, and I could spend days trawling through them and trying a bunch of them out. So many choices it's almost paralysing. :-\

This one? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.schiller.herbert.calcparaeletronicafree

Looks good, but no RC/LC/RLC low/high-pass filter calculator. :--

@HwAoRrDk yup that's the one. wouldn't hurt to have it installed even if it doesn't tick all your boxes
