Something simple .. Battery size converters ..
« on: August 15, 2010, 07:03:46 pm »
Before I start my summer vacations, I did some planning ahead , and got those Battery size converters.
As I do have a pile of NiMH for my digital cameras ( five Olympus )

The majority that I found on ebay , has had the loading area at the back,
and my opinion was and are , that this is an wrong design !!

Simply because many old fashion full size portable Radio-Cassette players,
they have one blind opening for the first or even and the second battery in the row,
and if the battery loads from the bottom of the adapter ... it  can possibly fall out... when entering or removing the batteries from the device !!

Any way , the ones that I got looks well designed to me , and today that is my last day of vacations,
I can say that it is fully tested too.   ;D

Use foam tape (available for a few dollars at Home Depot) to hold the batteries in the adapters.

my alarm clock

Well if the we speak for just one , I think that you can find easily an round wood ( cylinder ) long enough,
so make a hole in the center , and make your own home build adapter .

An piece of a wooden flag pole , I believe that it will work ..  or visit the near by carpenter,
he will probably have some left overs , that could be usable.

Use foam tape to hold the batteries in the adapters.
There is no need , this adapters have wide opening and narrow end ,
the battery hook up well in it , no free play.
