Sorry if this isn't the right section to post this under, or if it has been asked before.
I've been wanting to purchase a Hakko FX-888D (a huge upgrade from my junk soldering pencil that plugs into the wall) along with a tip or two (most likely a T18-D24 or something of that sort), but other than Amazon, eBay, or places that have it listed for a much higher price. The aforementioned two both sell the unit for roughly $90 here in the US, with tips being a tad but over-priced, in my opinion. How can I avoid receiving fake units from here, if I do go this route? Also, I found
http://www.hakkousa.com/ , but I do not feel very comfortable with this website. It seems extremely sketchy and does not look at all official nor well designed. Is this a their real website and Hakko is just awful at website design, or is it somewhere I'll get scammed at? Thanks in advance
