Its interesting they choose to move the object instead of the extruder head. But as usual with Velleman products its probably just a toy.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

Nominal mechanical resolution:

• X and Y: 0.015 mm (smallest step the printing plate can move in the X and Y direction)
• Z: 0.781 µm (smallest step the printing plate can move in the Z direction)

Slip up with the decimal point here methinks  :-DD
