Which 3M static shielded bag

Looking for static shielded bags for 3.5" HDDs. I'd prefer 3M and resealable, has anyone got a part number that fits well? Experiences?

If you want responses, provide some “meaty” question to respond to. The only thing you mention is “for 3.5” HDD, resealable, ideally 3M”. You don’t mention any other requirements, nor the reason you’re unable to select one yourself. What’s holding you up?

It doesn't need to exceed the specifications of the original disposable type bags, just something that will last well and not made of chinesium. 3M seems to make good products, the resealable looks a good idea but I'm unsure which one is a good fit. I don't want a lot of excess bag.

I have no idea if there are purpose form bags or not. I'm looking for experiences.

in my experience a 5"x10" bag can hold a 3.5" HDD just fine

How tight is the fit? I'm torn over 5 x 8" (#30058) vs 6 x 10" (300610). If the drives are about 6" long and 1" deep that would leave about 1" for the ziplock space. So as long as they aren't super tight 5" wide, sounds ok. Are your bags 5" or 5.9" aka 6"?

I don't remember. Just cut out some paper and tape it together to check yourself.

While there are "fitting" ESD bags, I had plenty of bags that were physically "too large" and have been bent over and taped to fit. So that really is no issue. If billion-Dollar-companies can do it, so can you.
However "3M and sealable" will cost a quite a bit. I'd rather use plain bags and an impulse sealer - if you are going for larger quantities. If only running for low numbers, maybe ask around at your local computer stores - at least we almost always throw them away (and that was likely a good 5-digit number of them).
Btw, by far the nicest bags came with IBM/Hitachi drives.

I measured a few used bags and got 5.25" and 5.5". The HDD appear to be either right on or slightly over 10" in circumference. So unless the bags are slightly oversized, I'll have to settle on the 6x10" bag (which is a shame).
