Will a 220v 50HZ rework system work on 220v 60HZ?

Beware that the cable exits from the bottom of a UK plug so you need a few inches of clearance below the socket.  Since you are in the US you could look into a NEMA 6-20 cord instead. But you'd need to check whether the socket can accept that plug.

NEMA cords would be hard to find to adapt to the connector on the Hakko, and look like they might be pluggable into the 110v socket.

Looking at australia cords now :P Something like this from monoprice looks secure enough

Due to the cable orientation problems with the English/UK cord I've opted instead for an Australian power cord. Should be here by the end of the week. I'll let you guys know how it works, but I'm pretty sure I'm in the clear. Thanks for all your help!  :phew:

Cord arrived yesterday. There are a few quirks about the power converter (the bezel is a bit broken so the circuit breaker is loose... :( ), but nothing to stop it from working. Plugged it in and it powered on wonderfully! I've used it to try to remove some SMD chips on scrap boards, it works fine, but I'm not sure what temp and air speed to use yet. Been holding out in the 350-390C range, with 15 LPM.
In short, it works and I'm happy! Thank you all so much for your help.
