Fluke 83
« on: November 26, 2012, 06:35:19 pm »
A while ago I bought a Fluke 83 on ebay, and I thought it was perfect however I have noticed recently that it does not measure capacitances in the manual measurement mode when "nF" is selected. I tried to measure 100 nF and 5,6 nF. It displays "0L". However it does do measurements in the uF ranges and the auto mode.
Is this is a common type of failure? What can be the cause of it? Thank you in advance.

The 83 and 85 have 4 manual ranges in capacitance mode.  In the nF range, it only goes up to 5.00nF.  See snippet from manual.
