Ascom UNITE Connectivity Manager
« on: January 11, 2018, 12:01:05 pm »
Hi
Some special question again.  ;D I know everyone will ask them self what an Ascom UNITE Connectivity Manager is.
Its simple answer. Ascom offer Wifi Phones who I got cheap from Ebay. There is an USB Programmer who cost new ~100€  :scared: but is necessary to change the settings. The Main problem is just Voice work with an Astarisk the other things refuse to work. Ascom told me for the other features like Text Messages and what I need PTT the Ascom UNITE Connectivity Manager is required. It look like its just an peace of hardware with proprietary stuff inside.

So does anyone here know how the Ascom UNITE Connectivity Manager work? Or an huge VoIP Forum who someone could know about? My biggest concern is there are some Licence or other stuff required to get it work who is not available. I got from Ascom the Software for the Phones with an trick but i think the dont give me Software for that.

what kind of link do you need?
The Phones are the well known i62.  ;D
The are SIP Phones and support some other standard to but i dont know how the called.
I am not home now to look into the phone. I run an Virtual PBX just for internal communication.
For external we use your Cellphone. The Phone are just "normal" Wifi Clients (without an Browser!!!!).
Roaming and Power Saving Mode requiere some special IEEE Standard who I have not in my mind right now.

@stj
If you have questions about the Phone I try to answer it. Now I am back home and can look into the Config Software.
