ZAGG invisibleSHIELDs + Xacto = Happy Instruments
« on: January 01, 2013, 07:47:44 pm »
Hi everyone!  Happy New Year!

I've installed invisibleSHIELDs on my cell phones and the stuff works great. Even keys rubbing against the glass don't cause a problem.  I was excited to find out that they have then specifically for Fluke 80 series and the Fluke 189.  So I ended up buying a couple but at $15 each. That seemed a little high for a small piece of plastic for the 87s...

Well, I also have a couple of 289s and I wanted them protected too. I contacted Zagg and they said they sell kits which you just cut to size with scissors. I never checked, but I'm sure they are not inexpensive either!

Then I got to thinking about checking ebay and ended up finding them for small tablets at $5 shipped!  I guess folks are selling off old stock for devices which people don't use anymore. I got a couple for something called a HUAWEI S7. It is about 4" x 6.5".

After some time with the calipers and the xacto... I've protected nearly everything that has a screen!

Hope this helps out someone else. :)
