Stetzerizer Filter
« on: October 23, 2016, 08:16:21 am »
Hi. There are two topics about Stetzerizer Filter in this blog. It looks that nobody has torn it down to see what's inside the box. I wonder if the filter has been molded to protect if from moisture or something like enthusiastic EEVblogger. I'd like to see what kind of components they have used. Here in Europe we have 230V 50Hz AC and the regulations require X2 type capacitors.

I am reading about Electromagnetic hypersensitivity because I have many of the symptoms they merge to this. And yes, I am sceptic! I'm also long term electronic professional and Ham since 1966.

They tell that you should have 20 filters in your apartment in the States. But only 15 in Europe (999 euro/15pcs set and 75 euro/pc) as they are 1.5 times stronger. This sound funny to me as if there are (and there should be) capacitors inside, they must have twice the Voltage withstanding than in the US. If they use the same capacitors, as I believe, by putting two in series, the capacitance is only half of the original. This doesn't sound right to me.

Has anybody torn these Sterti.. Stret.. Szetz.. Stet-ze-ri-zer down to see what's inside?
