The most rare DATRON: PGM2000 with RS-232 option

The year is 1984, the life is good, the world Datron England and Prema Germany were producing hi-precision and accuracy instruments with GPIB interfaces, but meanwhile in a nice little German village a company was creating and selling the world strangest EPROM gang programmer, PGM2000, this is the story of this strange device, the first programmer that I've seen that has NO RAM BUFFER  but does direct  serial-to-EPROM and vice-versa transfers. It does have a LED multiplexer from ICL (talking about über-engineering    ).
So I've got this guy in a non-working condition, looking very good on outside and inside, but seller says: "it does smell like burning, so I'm selling it as defective...", it even comes with a nice user manual (I've scanned it and used Abby online service to OCR it).
So, as usual the culprit was a tant, the  spawn, re-caped, reassembled and here it is working in his glorious LED light  .
Now even YOU can copy all the obsolete EPROMS of your TE like a real man, using a full 25PIN serial cable  , not the sissies one without RTS/CTS, you can program your DATRON EPROMS with an original DATRON, don't delay, PM today, all offers considered, shipping 5EUR all of Germany and whatever cost to your country, all the extra coming from this project will be used to feed my cat (that is also my assistant    ).

Also I have to say only good words about the Pearl branded desoldering station, I kind of expected to suck, and not in a vacuum way, but hey, it behaves EXCEPTIONALLY, all tants were out in less than 2min without any issues on the PCB  .

Nice looking unit.  Over the years I have hoarded EPROMS from whatever.  Why, I don't know.
Probably waiting for "someday I might need one".  That day hasn't come yet and likely never will, but I have the EPROMS.
