Replacement element for Weller HAP-200 hot air pencil

I managed to drop something on my HAP-200 and break the metal tip containing the element.  I need to source a replacement metal tip and element.

According to the parts diagram on the above page (attached) the element is 5 87 377 01. The Weller part numbers you order are always a bit different from what are shown on the parts diagram, I believe the orderable part is T0058737701N

Searching I get only 3 hits, all in Europe. Such as https://www.matedex.be/en/products/art-59052/heating-element-hgp-hap.html

Last time I ran into this I emailed Weller USA and they told me the part was not available.  I'm not sure if these parts are actually orderable in Europe?

I really don't want to buy a whole new  HAP-200 pencil.

Okay, so it turns out the parts diagram above is for the HAP1.   Weller just incorrectly put it onto their US page for the HAP200.    Apparently according to the European distributor such errors are common.

The element T0058737701N (for the HAP1) can be ordered but only from Europe.   In the USA your only option is to send it back to Apex who offers a flat rate exchange for 25% less than MSRP or about the same price as you can buy a new one online 

The Euro site has the correct parts diagram for the HAP200 and the element is "5 87 617 43" but T0058761743N is not orderable anywhere.

Lesson learned?  Avoid Apex Tools.  Buy Hakko.
